TASK

The Advanced Technology & Innovation team at Hasbro has a global network of tech scouts that supply monthly reports from various regions around the globe. One of my duties was to manage this worldwide team.

The team had a hard time delivering these valuable reports within the organization; the awkward content delivery platform we used was outdated and were not used by staff. The documents we paid for monthly were stored as files and it was impossible to quickly access and search specific content.

Execution

The new platform made it extremely easy for all authors (scouts) to publish new content giving all the tools to always achieve a unified look. These take much less time then editing in PowerPoint or any other word processor they used in the past. A heavily customized Wordpress site let the SCOUTS only see their own posts, but not the others'. The HASBRO USER always saw every post. HASBRO EDITORS were able to create special sets of article collections (special reports) pulled from the database. This was often used when a new project is started related to a specific technology.

Results

Using this platform all +5000 employees of Hasbro can access every paid tech reports, be up to date with the latest trends and search the databse for specific contents. They consume content on mobile device regularly andseveraly important research papers were contributed to products on the shelves.
